I got the pleasure of doing a little Q&A with one of our customers Ashley! She is such a sweetheart and has been so supportive of Everest & Co. I wanted to get her opinion on resolutions for the new year and some tips on how to stick with them! Enjoy!
1. What resolutions/goals did you set for this year?
I'll be 27 this year and realized I'm tired of sitting by waiting for life to happen so I'm going to make it happen for myself! 2019 is the year I become my own boss so I'm currently in the process of working on my brand in the social media world doing content creation and management. I also have a passion for food + photography (hey random culinary school degree) so I want to dabble in this side hustle with local restaurants, specifically tacos. I've dubbed myself the Taco Queen so taking photos of a plate of tacos and eating them too? #dreamjob Now that I put it out there for everyone to read, I have to make it happen, right? Hold me accountable, ya'll!
2. Do you have any advice on how to stick to your goals?
I love reading stories and watching videos on other people who have followed their passions! It motivates me to see that it is possible with a lot of hard work.
3. Do you prefer more long term resolutions or short term?
Definitely short term - one of my worst habits is procrastinating so if I set a long term goal for myself I tend to push it in the back of my mind because I "have more time". Short term goals help me stay realistic and motivated to cross things off my list!
4. What resolutions/goals did you meet last year?
It's always been a dream of mine to go to Greece so when my now husband and I were talking about where we wanted to go for our honeymoon, Greece was the place! We had 9 months from the time we got engaged to our wedding day to pull it off and even though we wanted to throw in the towel pretty much every day and just go to the courthouse, it was so worth it when we were soaking up the sun and eating allll the feta cheese in Greece. It's actually how I found Ashley and Everest & Co. She had just posted a picture from her Europe trip when she was in Greece and immediately had to follow her!
5. What do you love about Everest & Co.?
First things first, I love that it is owned and operated with girl power. I love supporting female businesses! When I watched Ashley's youtube video on how she started Everest & Co. it made me love it even more that she built it from the ground up, and if you read my answer to question 2 you already know it kicked my butt into gear to follow my heart, too! Obviously, the clothes are SUPER cute as well!
